Get in close

Sometimes, when you are out there taking photos, it pays dividends to look at the details. But in order to get them you need to get really, really close. This is more often than not case in portrait photography, especially if your subject is a person or a pet. The rule of thumb is: if the photo is not interesting enough, you are not close enough. So our photography tip of the week is short, but simple:

Get in close !!!
Take close-up photos of your child or a pet, and experiment. You will notice that the closer you get, the more interesting your photo becomes. Happy shooting.
